Dr. Samantha Stanford
Welcome!
With a practice grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a celebration of neurodiversity, I am committed to providing evaluations that are not only informative but also empowering. Whether you're seeking clarity, support, or simply a deeper understanding of yourself or your child, I am here to help —without judgment and with sensitivity.
My approach is rooted in the belief that effective assessments and treatment require seeing the entire person — not just the challenges they may be facing. I take the time to understand your strengths, values, and aspirations for you or your child so that our work together can create meaningful, lasting change.
As a proud Western New Yorker with over a decade of experience supporting and empowering neurodiverse individuals and their families, I bring warmth, authenticity, and deep clinical experience to my work. I earned a combined doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in School Psychology and Counseling Psychology from SUNY University at Buffalo, where I also completed a Master’s Degree in Education. My training has spanned academic and clinical settings, including specialized doctoral-level training at the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, Georgia—one of the nation's premier centers for autism evaluation and treatment—and post-doctoral training through the University of Rochester Medical Center.
I personally understand that taking the first step in better understanding yourself and how your or your child's brain works can be overwhelming. This is why I offer a free, 15-minute phone consultation to discuss in more depth what this process could look like and to answer any questions. I look forward to connecting and discussing next steps if the time becomes right for you.
