Our Approach

Biopsychosocial Model

At Stanford Psychological Services, we believe that in order to fully understand someone, one must take into account biological (e.g., genetics; family history), psychological (the way someone thinks/feels about the world), and social (how one relates to others) factors.

Neurodiversity Affirming

We firmly believe in the quote by Temple Grandin, “The world needs all kinds of minds.” Our evaluation services are provided with the goal of fostering greater self-understanding, acceptance, and growth.

Strengths-Based

At Stanford Psychological Services, our assessments and feedback emphasize an individuals’ resilience, capabilities, and potential rather than solely focusing on providing a diagnosis. We believe in providing meaningful strategies to achieve personal goals for you or your child so you can move forward with clarity and and purpose.

Research/Evidence Supported

All assessments are grounded in current research and evidence-based practices. We use gold-standard diagnostic tools so you can be confident that the assessment you receive is scientifically supported.
